History of The Coffee Place and our coffees

The Coffee Place was opened as the result of a local competition where Fife council and other supporting businesses made available a shop in the Heritage Quarter of Dunfermline for the 5 weeks leading up to Christmas in 2014 completely free of charge.

Business ideas were submitted and 8 lucky businesses were chosen, one of which was ourselves The Coffee Place, where we offered locally supplied and roasted coffees in the form of beans / filter /cafetiere and espresso as well as equipment, latte glasses, coffee cups, cafetiers and other coffee related products.

Since opening then we have gone from strength to strength, widening our choice of coffees, offering tasting sessions, working with Tchibo Coffee to offer the wonderful Piacetto Espresso as our takeaway choice.

We have sourced local roasters, The Bean Shop in Perth and Thomsons Coffee in Glasgow and we expect to add another supplier from Edinburgh.
